Q. Does FacePdf store or retain any of the uploaded files and Converted files?
All uploaded or converted documents are deleted automatically immediately and no backups are made. We do not look at them or mine any data from them. We do not ask for your email or any other contact details, to use any of our free services.
Q. Once the documents are uploaded, who else could potentially access them?
Documents are transfered safely over a 256-bit encrypted SSL connection. No one except the users themselves can access them.
Q. Do you have the legal rights of my Documents when I use your services?
Absolutely not. We do not intend to have any legal rights to your documents. All user documents are deleted immidiately. We do not own or have any exclusive rights to your content.
Q. Why has the conversion of my Documents failed?
We support many source formats and there can be several reasons why the conversion failed. For example:
The source document could be corrupt.
The source document has been encrypted with Digital Rights Management of the owner.
The converter does not recognize the source document format.
Q. I could not convert a PDF to DOC, DOCX, PPT or TEXT, Why?
PDF to DOC, DOCX, PPT or TEXT will only work with Native / Normal PDFs created using text and images. It will not work with Scanned PDFs or PDFs created from images. For Scanned PDFs or PDFs created with Images, use PDF to OCR.
Q. What is the difference between a Scanned PDF and a Native / Normal PDF?
PDF documents can be created from various devices or softwares, so they are not always the same:
Scanned PDF may look like a normal PDF document created from Word, but actually when you scan a document using a scanner, the whole content will be captured as an Image. So when you save it as PDF document, there is no text content but only an image embedded in the PDF document.
Native / Normal PDF is created by a computer software. They are built of code that allows them to be viewed and read exactly as they were originally created. These are vector-based files that can be edited.
Q. What is the accuracy of the OCR PDF process
Higher resolution documents will lead to better results. Make sure not to compress your scans before running the OCR process. Unfortunately we can not guarantee 100% accuracy as this is a best-effort approach. This action might take longer depending on the number of pages in the document.
Q. How does Edit PDFs work?
Our PDF Editor tools include: adding text, erasing text, highlighting and adding images.
Q. My eSign PDF did not work?
It could be due to the following reasons:
Image of the signature is too big.
Image formats supported are JPG/ JPEG, PNG.
To fix this, please re-size your image accordingly. Recommended Size of Image: Width min. 200 pixels and Height min. 200 pixels.

Q. How does Auto-Renewal subscription work?
You never need to worry when your subscription will expire, subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel them. When you have an annual subscription we will send you email before we charge your card again.
Q. How do I cancel my subscription?
If you want to stop payments just cancel your subscription, you can still use FacePdf for the time you have paid for already and your card won’t be charged again. You can cancel your monthly or annual subscription by logging into your Profile page and clicking on "Cancel Subscription".
